EID Dinner at ISGH
Assalaamu’alekum Dear Brothers/Sisters -
Insha’Allah on Saturday October 2, 2010 at 5:30 PM ISGH will be hosting a Community Eid Dinner at ISGH. There will be a short speech by Br. Jawad Rasool after Salat-ul-Asr around 5:45 PM. Dinner will be served after the speech. Dinner is absolutely free for everyone.
It is very important that you RSVP to this event by clicking HERE so we know how many people to expect. Please mention in comments number of children under ten. We will have pizza for kids. If you do not get access to registration page, simply add your comments below with the number of adults and children you will be bringing along.
Please come with your family and friends and enjoy the great speech and the delicious food catered from a local restaurant. Your generous donation to support the repair activities at ISGH will be rewarded in abundance by Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala), so please do generously donate to the repair activities at ISGH.

EID MUBARAK!

EID MUBARAK to you and to your family!
According to some authentic sources moon has been sighted in Virginia, Houston and Chicago, Alhamdhulillah! So 1st of Shawwal will be on Friday, September 10, 2010.
EID prayer will be held at ISGH sharply at 9:00 AM on Friday, September 10, 2010.
Please give yourself enough time to park and pray comfortably. Additional parking spaces will be available at the Advanced Auto Parts store just across the street. Please make use of the space and please try to move your car as soon as you are done with the prayer. Please park your cars responsibly.
To accommodate more people, arrangements are being made in the gymnasium area for sisters to perform the Salah. We will have blue tarp on the floor but to make it more comfortable sisters are encouraged to bring their own prayer rugs.
There will be a light breakfast served after the Salah. Please try to bring a covered dish if you can. If you are not sure what to bring please read “What to bring on EID at ISGH?“.
Fitrana is $7 per person and it is important that you pay your Fitrana before Eid Salah.
Please let your friends and family know about this news and convey our EID MUBARAK to them as well.

ISGH Eid Announcement
Assalaamu’alekum Dear Brothers/Sisters -
Eid-ul-Fitr will be either on Friday (Sep 10) or Saturday (Sep 11) depending on moon-sighting. Please keep watching this website for more information. We will also email the community along with updating our phone system. So please watch this website or keep an eye on your emails or call in at 717-889-1277 to find out about Eid at ISGH.
Insha’Allah, Eid Prayer will start at 9:00 AM sharp at ISGH.
For those of you who are wondering about ICP and ISGH communities not praying together this year, we had a meeting about Eid prayer and after consultation and with mutual understanding it was decided that both centers will pray this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr separately at their location of convenience. It was also decided that insha’Allah, ICP and ISGH will try to pray Eid-ul-Adha together this year. Please keep an eye on the announcements regarding that soon insha’Allah.

There are more parking space being arranged at the Advanced Auto Parts store just across the street but please follow volunteer’s instruction for parking. We also encourage you to consider carpooling.
Kindly, try to be there around 8:30 so you have enough time to find parking and be in the Masjid on time.
After Salah ,we will have refreshments in the gymnasium area.

What to bring on Eid at ISGH?
Assalaamu’alekum Dear Brothers/Sisters -
Alhamdhulillah, every year we bring food to share with our brothers and sisters on the joyous day of Eid. Insha’Allah, we will continue this beautiful tradition of sharing this year and we request you to bring one covered dish on the morning of Eid.
To have a variety of food following are some suggested items you can bring.
1. Dahi Badee (pokora in yogurt)
2. Chuna Chaat (chickpeas)
3. Fruit Chaat
4. Sheer (sweet noodles in milk)
5. Hulwa
6. Cake
7. Muffins
8. Soda: 1 bottle per family
To help us better organize please e-mail back with the items you are planning to bring, size of tray and number of trays.
We greatly appreciate your cooperation on this.

Laylat al-Qadr @ ISGH
Assalaamu’alekum Dear Brothers/Sisters -
Insha’Allah, let’s spend Monday Night at ISGH to observe 27th night of Ramadan. According to Hadiths, Muslims are adviced to seek out Lailatul-Qadr in the odd nights of last ten days of Ramadan.
A number of brothers and sisters are planning to stay at ISGH to pray till Fajr. We will have speakers and will perform Qiyam-ul-lail. There will be snacks available throughout the night and if you inform us via email we will also make arrangements for Sehr.
Please join us on this blessed night.
Ramadan is passing by fast. Do not miss this opportunity to spend some time in remembrance of Allah. Let’s ask Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala for forgiveness on this blessed night and encourage others to do so.

Khatm Al-Qur’an @ ISGH
Assalaamu’alekum Dear Brothers/Sisters -
Insha’Allah, Khatm Al-Qur’an will be done at ISGH on Saturday September 4, 2010 after Salatut-Taraweeh. There will be a short talk by Br. Amjad Ali on the topic “Uniqueness of Qur’an“. After the talk small gifts will be presented to the Hafizs and then Ladoos will be distributed. If you can please, make sure to stay back after Salatut-Taraweeh and participate in this event and get the reward in this holy month.

Community Iftar @ ISGH
Assalaamu’alekum Dear Brothers/Sisters -
Insha’Allah there will be a Community Iftar today at ISGH. There is a lecture scheduled before the Iftar and it starts at 7:00 PM. The lecture will be presented by Br. Amjad Ali Khan. Please try to come in early and get the benefit of listening to a great lecture around Iftar time and enjoy the Community Iftar.
Please try to park your cars responsibly. Please DO NOT block other cars as they might need to leave early for whatever reasons. Also, please do not block the neighbors cars as well.
Please make sure your kid is not running around while the Salah is on and also please make sure your kid is not wasting food.
