Eid-ul-Fitr on Wednesday, August 31st
No moon sightings have been reported in North America. Therefore, Eid-ul-Fitr will be on Wednesday, August 31st.
Tuesday, August 30th will be the final day of Ramadan. An early Eid Mubarak to all.
Parking
Parking is available in the ISGH complex as well as on the streets. There are also more parking space being arranged at the Advanced Auto Parts store just across the street. We recommend that you please follow volunteer’s instruction for parking. We also encourage you to consider carpooling as necessary.
Snacks
There will be a light breakfast served after the Eid Salah. Please try to bring a covered dish if possible.
Eid Sunnah
- Fitrana is $7 per person and it is important that you pay your Fitrana before Eid Salah.
- Use two separate route to and from the Masjid.
- Have breakfast on Eid-al-Fitr before leaving for Masjid.
- Recite the following Takbir on the way to Salah and until the beginning of Salat-al-Eid:
Allaho Akber, Allaho Akber. La ila ha illlallah. Allaho Akber, Allaho Akber. Wa lilahill hamd.

Announcement for Eid ul Fitr
No positive naked-eye hilal sighting reports have been received at this time from anywhere in the mainland USA or Canada. On the basis of many negative reports, there is an overwhelming probability that we will complete 30 days of Ramadan, and Eid ul Fitr will fall on Wednesday, August 31. A final decision will Insha Allah be posted at hilalsighting.org at 11 pm Eastern Time.
Moon for Shawwal
Announcement about moon will be posted here tonight after 10:30 pm. So far there have been no confirmed sightings of the Hilal in North America.
Eid-ul-Fitr Arrangements at ISGH
Insha’Allah, Eid-ul-Fitr will be held at ISGH this year and will be either on Tuesday, August 30th or Wednesday, August 31st depending on moon-sighting. Please keep an eye on the ISGH website, as well as, you may also call in ISGH phone line @ (717) 889-1277 for the latest Eid details.
Insha’Allah, this year we’ll have two Eid Prayers at ISGH. First Eid Prayer will start at 7:45 AM and the second will start at 9:00 AM sharp respectively.We highly recommend that you attend the first prayer and try to be there at least half an hour before each salah so, you have enough time to find parking and be in the Masjid on time.Arrangements are being made in gymnasium for sisters to pray. For conveneince, we’re also having a temporary carpet laid out.
