Harrisburg is the nerve center of Pennsylvania. Located in the beautiful
valleys of south central Pennsylvania, it has attracted people from all areas
of the world.
In early seventies Islamic and cultural activities were on individual levels and
confined to few families. Later on, when the number increased some sincere and
like minded people decided that an organization should be established, wherein
Muslims could gather and continue to perform religious duties and pass the
values to the children. With these noble aims a society was established in June
1975, Muslims from all walks of life, hailing from variety of ethnic and
cultural backgrounds joined in this effort and what we see today is the result
of the efforts of those dedicated pioneers.
For smooth functioning of the society a constitution was drafted and by-laws
were introduced. The constitution and by-laws ere approved by the general body
of the Muslim community.
The society was registered as a non-profit organization with the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania.
