Author ISGH PA Web Admin    Category Events, Pictures     Tags

Assalam-u-Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

Holy of month of Ramadan for 2013/1434 is right in the corner and its beginning will be determined on the appearance of the moon, heart In Shaa Allah. According to moonsighting.com website, new moon cannot be seen on July 8th in North America by a naked eye. As per its experts, it will be easily visible on July 9th, 2013. In this case, we will be completing 30 days of Shabaan and it is high possibility that we will have our first Taraweeh at ISGH on Tuesday, July 9th and first day of Ramadan will be on Wednesday, July 10th, unless we receive confirmed reports of moon sightings in North America on July 8th.

For details please go to http://moonsighting.com/1434rmd.html

There is a difference of opinion and beliefs in matter of moon sighting between various ulemas and we fully understand and respect our Muslim brothers and sisters who want to follow different organizations. We do not encourage our community members to accept one opinion over the other. You can find various articles on moonsighting.com and on the website of Fiqah Council about this matter. Please confirm with your local Islamic authorities to determine when to start Ramadan.

At this moment and based on moonsighting website, ISGH is planning to offer its first Taraweeh on Tuesday, July 9th and observe the first day of Ramadan on Wednesday, July 10th.

Timings for Isha salah will start 5min after its prescribed time and will be followed by Taraweeh salah.

Taraweeh will be led by Maulan Khaleel and Br. Asad, In Shaa Allah.

ISGH will be hosting free community iftar every Saturday of Ramadan. Everyone is invited. If you’re interested in hosting or participating in one of the iftar dinners at ISGH, please email greenplanet313@yahoo.com or contact one of its council members.

The first Saturday of Ramadan will be a fundraising iftar to support ISGH’s Hifz school and Cyber school. Imam Rafiq Mahdi will be our guest speaker.

Here are the speakers lined up for the following Saturdays.

2nd Saturday – Br. Amjad Ali

3rd Saturday – Br. Amjad Ali Khan

Date: Dec 22nd, heart 2012 at 4:30pm

Keynote Speaker: Sheikh Omer Suleiman, rehabilitation New Jersey

Place: 407 N Front St, mind Steelton, PA 17113

Assalamualikum Dear Brothers and Sisters,

ISGH is hosting a fundraising dinner on Saturday, Dec, 22nd to support its Hifz school and to replace the roof of its main building.

Alhumdulillah, Hifz school is the first of its kind in Central PA and we are excited to let you know that its running smoothly. Alhumdullilah, we have a nice building but without the contributions from the community we’ll not be able to afford to provide qualified teachers, admin staff and a wide variety of resources such as transport and pay for educational field trips.

Also, ISGH needs funds to replace the roof of its main masjid. Water is seeping in and is damaging the wood. Therefore, its needs to be fixed asap. We are estimating around 40K for this project and In sha llah, its possible with your support.

The Prophet Muhammad (Salla-Allahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam) said:

“WHOEVER BUILDS A MOSQUE FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH, ALLAH WILL BUILD FOR HIM IN PARADISE ONE LIKE THAT.”

Therefore, we request all the families of Central PA to book the date, attend and make use of this great opportunity.

All the tax donations to ISGH are tax deductible. You can also donate online by going to www.ISGHPA.org or you may mail it to the above address.

For any queries related to fundraising dinner or related to Hifz school & Cyber learning center, please e-mailcouncil@isghpa.org.
