The main aim of this fundraising is to raise as much as possible to facilitate the maintenance of the ISGH building and to carry out various other activities for the youth of our community.

Insha’Allah this will be a fun filled event and we request all the families of Central PA to book the date and plan to attend.

Dinner after Lecture
We at ISGH are having a competition on February 11 ,2012. Students will be tested on their knowledge about the life of Prophet Muhammad SAW. Inshallah, we will provide study material.

We cordially invite students from all Islamic center to participate in this competition. If your children are  not going to any Islamic school they can still participate. They  will be added to one of the team according to age and gender.

Inshallah, kids will increase their knowledge by participating in this event. It is also a great way to strengthen our bonds , it is an opportunity for kids to meet Muslims of same age from other centers.

Inshallah, it will be a great experience for parents and kids.

Kids of all ages, who do not want to compete are welcome to present anything related to Prophet SAW.

For the competition student will be divided in 4 groups.

Group A: Boys 8 to 11 years old
Group B:Boys 12 to 16 years old
Group C: Girls 8 to 11 years old
Group D:Girls 12 to 16 years old

These groups will be further divided in to teams.

Participant will be given a set of question to prepare from.

The last day of the Sunday school fall semester is Dec 18^th, 2011.  There will be no school on Dec 25th, 2011, and January 1st, 2012.  First session of the Sunday school for spring semester will be on January 8^th 2012, inshallah.

Stream Energy is a new electric supplier in PA. They have a special program for non-profit organization and several Islamic centers in big cities are already taking advantage of this opportunity.

This service is available to the customers of all electric suppliers in PA. We did comparison only with PPL . Please compare rates with your current supplier.

Their rates are lower than PPL so you will save money on electric bill. But the best part is that for every customer that signs up through ISGH, ISGH will receive $4 per month as long as costumer is with the company. We found out about this program few months ago. We signed up this week only after making sure that there is no catch and there is no hidden cost to community members. Our research confirmed that it is a genuine program by this new company that is trying to build customer base in PA.

Above is the link where we can sign up for electric service. There is no cost to you and if you pick month to month option there is no cancellation fee. Best rate PPL has to offer is 8.41 /KW . It can also be written as 0.0841/KW. Stream energy is offering 0.0839 / KW. PPL is the default provider. At the end of your contract you will automatically go back to PPL. There will be no interruption in supply of electricity.

Kindly, carefully review information available on their website before selecting a plan.

You will need your PPL account # to complete registration. It is one time effort. You will be saving money on electric bill and best of all, you will be generating $4 every month for ISGH .

IMPORTANT: Please make sure to turn your clocks back 1 hour before you go to sleep Saturday night.  Sunday, Nov. 6^th, marks the end of Daylight Saving Time.

Please bring a prayer rug , and we highly recommend that you try to be there at least half an hour before Eid salah so, you have enough time to find parking and be in the prayer hall on time

There will be a light breakfast served after the Eid Salah. Please  bring a covered dish to share with fellow Muslims.

Parking
Parking is available in and around Sports City complex. We recommend that you please follow volunteer’s instruction for parking. We also encourage you to consider carpooling as necessary.

Please do not park on Linglestown road or block traffic. Here are the list of places around sports city complex where we are permitted to park

• Schuller All Pro Car Wash (Park only in the  marked spaces in front of the Dry Cleaner. Pl. do not block any of the car wash bays)

• Subway (Please leave as early as possible as they open at 9am)
• Weis Market (Please use far right corner so we don’t disturb customers)
• Centric bank (Please do not to block the drive way to ATM)
• Street parking is also available on Forest Hill Rd 

Bus Service 

Bus service will also be available from Weis market to Sports City. Please drop your families @ sports City and once you park at Weis market, you may either walk to Sports City or you may take the bus. Bus will leave at 8:05am to Sports City Complex.
